Lenovo ThinkCentre 7346 Ram
RAM is considered temporary storage as all the data it holds gets deleted every time your turn the computer off. RAM is necessary for your desktop to even boot. The clock speed of the RAM is governed by the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is governed by the software. The RAM in your computer stores random bits of data that the CPU is currently using for applications. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as text documents or movies. But, it has more to do with the speed of the computer. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
Signals the RAM is not going to last much longer
- The screen does not light up when you start your desktop
- Nothing happens when trying to initiate your system
- The system does not report the correct amount of memory installed
- The OS produces random reboots on your desktop intermittently
