Lenovo ThinkCentre 8010 Wifi
You are better off buying a new wireless USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have. Searching for a new adapter is simple because the only thing you have to know is the current operating system on your desktop. WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware in order to talk to your wireless router or modem. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there.
What happens when my WiFi adapter is in need of a replacement?
- The wireless adapter on your desktop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The WiFi adapter driver shows it as not installed
- The WiFi disconnects itself every day
