Lenovo ThinkCentre 8105 Hard Drive
Hard drives are designed in varying capacities and brands. Putting in a new hard drive is pretty straight forward if you have an idea of what you are doing, of course! Your computer has a hdd, or hard disk drive, that stores all of the information for the computer. Due to the sensitive nature of the drives, they can go out at any time for a wide variety of reasons. The type of hard drive that you would need to get depends on your particlular computer. The size of the hard drive is all a personal preference as almost all computers will be able to accommodate any size hard drive you install.
How can I tell if my main HDD is dying?
- Your desktop stutters or becomes unresponsive off and on through the day
- The Lenovo desktop crashes randomly even while using it
- On some older computers you may occasionally hear a tick, tick, tick sound resonating from the computer
- Your Lenovo freezes when you open a particular program
- It may take forever to boot up and may only boot up once in a while
