Lenovo ThinkCentre 8127 Video Card
Almost all newer desktops will have at least one PCIe slot open for a graphics card to be installed on the motherboard. There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. All video cards computes and sends the rendered images to a monitor where you can see the results. Integrated, or onboard, graphics will never be better than a dedicated video card, generally speaking. A dedicated graphics card is required for high-end games on the desktop like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. Today, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place.
Some clues the video card is in need of replacing
- The monitor displays colors that are all wrong
- The Lenovo ThinkCentre 8127 freezes when starting a game
- The display does not show up when starting up
- A driver for the video card does not seem to install properly
