Lenovo ThinkCentre 8133 Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores pieces of information that the central processing unit uses for applications. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like programs or emails. Instead, it does have a correlation to the speed of your desktop. The speed of the RAM is governed by the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is determined by the operating system. RAM is necessary in order for a computer to even boot. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as all the data it holds gets deleted when you shut down your system. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, remember that you can never have too much RAM.
What symptoms are present when the RAM memory is failing?
- Silence when trying to power on your system
- You get a lot of random reboots on your desktop as you use it
- The main operating system does not show the right memory amount
- The screen does not display anything when booting up
