Lenovo ThinkCentre 8133 Video Card
Integrated, or onboard, graphics are almost never as good as a separate video card, generally speaking. There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated graphics are integrated into the motherboard itself, while a dedicated graphics card is an individual piece of hardware that is bought and installed separately. Today, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second. All video cards processes graphics and renders images to the monitor where it is displayed for you. Dedicated video cards are pretty much required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Battlefield, Fortnite or Far Cry. Most new desktops will have at least one spot available for a video card to be installed on the motherboard.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my display card will soon go out?
- The graphics on your screen produces stretched or elongated pictures
- The PC crashes when starting a game
- Nothing seems to show up when starting the computer
- The driver does not seem to install all the way
