Lenovo ThinkCentre 8137 Ram
The speed of the RAM is prescribed within the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is guided by the OS. Your desktop is unable to run without having RAM. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as text documents or movies. But, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Lenovo. The RAM in your computer stores pieces of information that the computer uses for applications. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets removed when you shut down your system. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
What happens when my stick of RAM needs to be replaced?
- The OS does not report the correct amount of RAM
- The screen will not display anything when you start your desktop
- The OS produces access errors on your desktop intermittently
- Nothing happens when you initiate your system
