Lenovo ThinkCentre 8145 Ram
RAM is necessary in order for your desktop to run at all. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like picture or movies. Instead, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the operating system. Your desktop RAM stores small bits of data that the processor uses for applications. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets removed when you shut down your system. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, just be sure to remember that you can never have too much RAM in your system.
Red flags that your RAM board will eventually need to be replaced
- Silence when trying to power on your system
- The main screen will not light up when booting up
- The OS does not show the correct amount of RAM
- You tend to have access errors on your desktop as you use it
