Lenovo ThinkCentre 8173 Ram
RAM is crucial in order for a computer to run at all. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. But, it has more to do with the speed of your desktop. The RAM in your computer stores small bits of information that the processor uses for applications. The speed of the RAM is dictated by the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is dictated by the system software. Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as all the data it holds gets deleted every time your turn the computer off. If you are ever in doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
How do you know if your stick of RAM is almost dead?
- The software fails to come up with the right amount of RAM as it should
- The main screen does not display correctly when you turn your system on
- You may get quite a few weird errors showing up on your desktop as you use it
- Nothing happens as you start your desktop
