Lenovo ThinkCentre 8288 Wifi
WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your router and modem. You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your Lenovo desktop. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically.
Indications your wireless internet adapter will need to be replaced
- The WiFi adapter in your Lenovo desktop is unable to find a signal from your router
- The WiFi adapter driver cannot be installed
- The WiFi goes in and out over and over again
