Lenovo ThinkCentre 8336 Ram
RAM is considered temporary storage as all the data it holds gets deleted every time you turn your desktop off. Random Access Memory, RAM, stores pieces of information for the CPU to use for executing commands. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like programs or emails. But, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Lenovo. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is guided by the OS. Some RAM is mandatory even for your desktop to even boot. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Major indications of a deteriorating RAM board
- The software does not report the correct amount of RAM as it should
- The screen does not light up when booting up
- Silence when attempting to power on your system
- You may get quite a few invalid access errors on your desktop throughout the day
