Lenovo ThinkCentre 8700 Power Supply
Purchasing a new Lenovo ThinkCentre 8700 power supply is a piece of cake, provided you are still in posession of the old power supply for making size comparisons. You do not always want to go with the cheapest PSU because it is the only barrier between the outside power grid and your delicate internal Lenovo components. The power supply in your Lenovo desktop supplies all the power for the hardware in the computer. Be sure to replace a PSU with at least the same watts, if not bigger. It is a pretty straighforward job to install a new PSU in the ThinkCentre 8700 desktop.
Warnings of a poorly performing power supply
- The PC refuses to power on
- The Lenovo shuts down while under a taxing load
- You see burning plastic inside the PSU
