Lenovo ThinkCentre 9140 Wifi
The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to communicate with your wireless router or modem. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your Lenovo ThinkCentre 9140. Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a new wireless USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have.
Major indications of a worsening onboard WiFi
- The WiFi adapter in your Lenovo desktop will not connect to your router anymore
- The WiFi adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
- Your WiFi signal disconnects and reconnects during the day
