Lenovo ThinkCentre 9196 Wifi
WiFi, or wireless internet, uses an adapter to send and receive signals to and from your home router. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy due to the fact that all you need to know beforehand is the current operating system on your Lenovo ThinkCentre 9196. Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own.
Warnings to watch for in a bad onboard WiFi
- Your wireless internet connection disconnects and reconnects all the time
- The wireless adapter driver cannot be installed
- The WiFi adapter in your Lenovo desktop will not connect to your router anymore
