Lenovo ThinkCentre 9303 Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores pieces of information for the CPU to use for executing commands. Having the RAM installed is mandatory even for a computer to run at all. The clock speed of the RAM is imposed within the specifications from the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is dictated by the system software. RAM is a type of temporary storage as all the information held gets removed when you shut down your system. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like picture or movies. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, remember that bigger is always better!
Clues to watch for to know your RAM is going out
- The system produces random errors on your desktop as you use it
- The desktop screen does not display correctly when starting up
- Emptiness fills the air as you boot up your desktop
- The OS does not report the correct memory amount
