Lenovo ThinkCentre 9628 Video Card
A graphics card processes the input and renders images to the monitor where it is displayed for you. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Dedicated video cards are pretty much required for high-end games on the desktop like Battlefield, Fortnite or Far Cry. Almost all newer desktops should have at least one PCI Express slot available for a video card to be installed. Integrated display adapters will never be better than dedicated graphic cards, generally speaking.
Major clues the video graphics card will soon need to be replaced
- The monitor produces nothing
- The Lenovo ThinkCentre 9628 restarts when trying to start up a graphic intensive game
- The screen does not always come on when booting up
- The driver does not seem to install like it should
