Lenovo ThinkCentre 9640 Wifi
WiFi, or wireless internet, uses an adapter to send and receive signals to and from your wireless router or modem. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is the operating system that is installed on your Lenovo desktop. Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have.
Symptoms of a bad wireless card
- The WiFi adapter driver gives errors when installing
- The WiFi adapter on your desktop is unable to find a signal from your router
- The wireless signal disconnects itself over and over again
