Lenovo ThinkCentre 9935 Video Card

There are two types of video cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Dedicated video cards are usually necessary for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. A video card processes graphics and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where it is displayed for you. Most newer computers will have at least one spot available for a graphics card to be added to the system. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Integrated, or onboard, graphics are not as good as dedicated graphic cards, in general.
