Lenovo ThinkCentre 9960 Video Card
Today, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Integrated, or onboard, graphics will never be better than a dedicated video card, in general. A video card computes and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a graphics card to be installed. There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. An integrated graphic card is built-in to the main board, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. A dedicated graphics card is required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Battlefield, Fortnite or Far Cry.
Indications of a poorly working video card
- The graphics on your screen shows weird colors or images
- The Lenovo ThinkCentre 9960 restarts when trying to start up a graphic intensive game
- The display does not come on as you attempt to boot up
- The driver has problems installing fully
