Lenovo ThinkCentre A51-8424 Video Card
Integrated display adapters are almost never as good as a separate video card, in general. A graphics card computes and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where it is displayed for you. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Most newer computers will have at least one spot available for a video card to be installed on the motherboard. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is in second. Dedicated video cards are required for high-end games on the desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield.
Subtle hints the display adapter will not live much longer
- The graphics on your screen shows stretched or elongated pictures
- The Lenovo ThinkCentre A51-8424 restarts when beginning a game
- The screen does not always show up when starting up
- The video card driver has problems installing all the way
