Lenovo ThinkCentre A52 Video Card
Most newer computers will have at least one PCIe slot open for a graphics card to be added to the system. Integrated display adapters will never be better than a dedicated video card, in general. A video card computes and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you. There are two types of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated graphics are integrated into the motherboard itself, while dedicated is a separarate piece of hardware that gets installed. Dedicated video cards are required for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Battlefield, Fortnite or Far Cry. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my desktop video card is about to fail?
- Your display shows weird colors or images
- The Lenovo ThinkCentre A52 reboots when beginning a game
- Nothing seems to show up as you boot the PC
- A driver for the video card has problems installing all the way
