Lenovo ThinkCentre A57 Wifi
The WiFi in your desktop, if so equipped, uses an adapter in order to talk to your home router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. It will be easier to buy a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your desktop.
Signals to watch for in a failing WiFi adapter
- Your WiFi on your desktop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- Your wireless internet connection has trouble connecting throughout the day
- The wireless adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
