Lenovo ThinkCentre M58P Video Card
A dedicated graphics card is pretty much required for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Battlefield, Fortnite or Far Cry. At the moment, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is in second. There are two types of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated cards are built-in to the computer itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. A graphics card processes the input and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where you can see the results. Most newer computers should have at least one PCI Express slot available for a dedicated video card to be installed on the motherboard. Integrated video cards will never be better than dedicated graphic cards, generally speaking.
What are the clues to watch out for to know my graphics card is dying?
- The graphics on your screen produces colors that are all wrong
- Your Lenovo reboots when trying to start up a graphic intensive game
- Nothing seems to show up as you boot the PC
- The video card driver does not seem to install properly
