Lenovo ThinkPad 2366 Ram
Having the RAM installed is mandatory in order for your laptop to even boot. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is erased every time you turn your laptop off. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. Instead, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. Your laptop RAM stores small bits of data that the CPU is currently using for executing commands. The speed of the RAM is predetermined through the specifications from the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is dictated by the OS. If you are ever in doubt, remember that you can never have too much RAM.
Do you know if your RAM memory is failing?
- The main screen will not light up when booting up
- The OS cannot report the correct memory size
- The OS produces errors on your laptop as you use it
- Emptiness fills the air as you power on your system
