Lenovo ThinkPad 2376 Wifi
Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your laptop. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to send and receive signals to and from your wireless router or modem. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have.
Key signs of a barely functioning onboard WiFi
- The WiFi drops for no reason all the time
- Your WiFi on your laptop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The WiFi adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
