Lenovo ThinkPad 2687 Wifi
Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is the current operating system on your Lenovo laptop. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. A lot of newer wireless adapters are plug-n-play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to communicate with your wireless router or modem.
Signs the WiFi adapter will need replacing
- Your WiFi on your laptop is unable to find a signal from your router
- Your WiFi signal disconnects and reconnects every day
- The laptop wireless driver cannot be installed
