Lenovo ThinkPad 4289 Ram
RAM is necessary in order for your laptop to boot up. RAM is actually temporary storage as its storage is deleted every time your turn the computer off. Random Access Memory, RAM, stores random bits of information that the central processing unit uses for applications. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like text documents or movies. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of your laptop. The speed of the RAM is dictated by the specifications from the motherboard, while the size is guided by the system software. If you are ever in doubt, just be sure to remember that you can never have too much RAM in your system.
How do you know when your RAM stick will soon go out?
- The screen will not display correctly when you turn your system on
- Nothing happens when attempting to start your laptop
- The OS produces weird errors showing up on your laptop as you use it
- The main operating system does not display the correct memory amount
