Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E30 Ram
Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as all the information held gets removed every time you turn your laptop off. Having the RAM installed is mandatory in order for your laptop to even boot. RAM stores random bits of data that the central processing unit uses for executing commands. The speed of the RAM is predetermined through the specifications from the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is guided by the software. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as programs or emails. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of the computer. If you are ever in doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
Some warnings of a failing RAM board
- You tend to have weird errors showing up on your laptop as you use it
- The laptop screen does not display correctly when starting up
- Emptiness fills the air as you boot up your laptop
