Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E50 Ram
Your laptop will not boot without having the RAM installed. Your laptop RAM stores pieces of information that the processor uses for programs. The RAM speed is dictated by the specifications from the motherboard, while the size is guided by the system software. Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as the data it holds is blanked out every time you turn your laptop off. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like picture or movies. Instead, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Lenovo. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
What happens when my stick of RAM is almost dead?
- You tend to have random reboots on your laptop as you use it
- The screen does not display correctly when you start your laptop
- Silence when attempting to start your system
- The software does not report the correct amount of RAM
