Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E530 Ram
The RAM speed is governed by the specs of the motherboard, while the size is determined by the OS. RAM stores small bits of information that the CPU is currently using for applications. Some RAM is mandatory in order for your laptop to run. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like programs or emails. Instead, it will affect the speed of the computer. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as all the data it holds gets removed every time you turn your laptop off. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Major clues the RAM will eventually need to be replaced
- The software cannot report the correct memory size
- The screen does not display correctly when booting up
- The OS produces random reboots on your laptop intermittently
- Emptiness fills the air as you try to boot up your system
