Lenovo ThinkPad SL400 Wifi
The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware to communicate with your router and modem. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically. Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your laptop. It is much simpler to buy a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have.
Clues of a worsening onboard WiFi
- Your WiFi signal goes out randomly every day
- Your WiFi in your Lenovo laptop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The WiFi adapter driver suddenly shows as uninstalled
