Lenovo ThinkPad T41 Wifi
Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your Lenovo laptop. You are better off buying a new USB adapter and just plug it in, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Most new Wifi adapters are plug-n-play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own. WiFi, or wireless internet, uses an adapter in order to connect to your wireless router or modem.
Major signs your internal WiFi will have to be replaced
- The WiFi adapter on your laptop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- Your WiFi signal drops multiple times throughout the day
- The WiFi adapter driver cannot be installed
