Lenovo ThinkPad T510 Ram
Having the RAM installed is mandatory in order for a computer to run correctly. Random Access Memory is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is removed when the system shuts down. The RAM in your computer stores pieces of information that the processor uses for applications. The RAM speed is dictated by the specifications from the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is determined by the OS. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. But, it does have a correlation to the speed of your laptop. If there is ever a doubt, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
Some clues your RAM memory is dying
- You may get quite a few errors on your laptop throughout the day
- The screen will not turn on when starting up
- The OS does not show the correct RAM size
- Silence when attempting to boot up your laptop
