Lenovo ThinkPad W701DS Ram
Some RAM is mandatory even for a computer to run at all. The RAM speed is predetermined through the specifications from the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is dictated by the system software. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like picture or movies. Instead, it will affect the speed of the computer. Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as the data it holds is deleted every time you turn your laptop off. The RAM in your computer stores small bits of data that the central processing unit uses for applications. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
How can I tell if my stick of RAM is in need of a replacement?
- The screen will not display anything when you turn your system on
- The main operating system does not report the right memory size
- Nothing happens when you initiate your laptop
- You get a lot of errors on your laptop throughout the day
