Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Wifi
WiFi, or wireless internet, uses a piece of hardware to send and receive signals to and from your router. Most new Wifi adapters are plug-n-play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your laptop. You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have.
Signs of a weak wireless card
- The WiFi adapter driver shows it as not installed
- The wireless signal goes in and out during the day
- The wireless adapter in your Lenovo laptop will not connect to your router anymore
