Lenovo ThinkServer 1105 Video Card
Most new desktops will have at least one spot available for a graphics card to be installed on the motherboard. A graphics card computes and sends the resulting images to an external monitor where you can see the results. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, while dedicated is a separarate piece of hardware that gets installed. Today, graphics card maker nVidia is the most popular in the dedicated card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. A dedicated graphics card is typically a required piece of hardware for most games you would play on a desktop computer like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield. Integrated, or onboard, graphics are almost never as good as dedicated graphic cards, in general.
