Lenovo ThinkServer RD230 Power Supply
It is not too difficult to install a power supply in the ThinkServer RD230 desktop. The PSU, or power supply, is in charge of distributing power to the different pieces of hardware within your desktop. Always try to replace a power supply with a similar wattage or bigger. Purchasing a new Lenovo ThinkServer RD230 PSU is a piece of cake, provided you are still in posession of the old power supply to measure, size-wise. Never go with the cheapest power supply as it is the final barrier between a large quantity of electricity and fragile internal computer components.
How do you know if your main power source is on its last leg?
- Your Lenovo turns off while processing a taxing load
- The Lenovo will not start
- You see smoke in your PSU
