Lenovo ThinkServer RD650 Ram
Your server will do nothing at all without having RAM. The speed of the RAM is prescribed within the specs of the motherboard, while the size is governed by the operating system. The RAM in your computer stores random bits of information that the CPU is currently using for executing commands. RAM is considered temporary storage as all the data it holds gets removed when you shut down your system. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. But, it has a positive impact on the speed of your server. If you are unsure about the size of the RAM to buy, just be sure to remember that you can never have too much RAM in your system.
Indications of a weak RAM memory
- The main screen will not display anything when starting up
- The system cannot report the right memory size
- You get a lot of random reboots on your server throughout the day
- Nothing happens when attempting to power on your server
