Lenovo ThinkServer TD200X Video Card
There are really only two kinds of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, while a dedicated graphics card is an individual piece of hardware that is bought and installed separately. Dedicated video cards are necessary for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Far Cry, World of Warcraft or Battlefield. A video card computes and renders images to the monitor where you can see the results. Currently, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Most new desktops will have at least one spot available for a dedicated video card to be installed. Integrated, or onboard, graphics will never be better than a dedicated video card, in general.
Key signs to watch for in a bad video graphics card
- The graphics on your screen depicts vertical or striped lines
- The Lenovo ThinkServer TD200X restarts when trying to start up a graphic intensive game
- The display does not show up when starting the computer
- The video card driver cannot install correctly
