Lenovo ThinkServer TD200 3817 Ram
RAM stores random bits of information that the central processing unit uses for executing commands. RAM is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is deleted every time you turn your server off. The speed of the RAM is governed by the specifications from the motherboard, and the minimum storage size is dictated by the system software. Having the RAM installed is mandatory in order for a computer to run at all. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like programs or emails. But, it has more to do with the speed of your server. If you are ever in doubt, remember that you can never have too much RAM.
Symptoms your RAM memory is in dire need of a replacement
- The screen will not display correctly when you start your server
- Silence as you try to start your system
- The system does not show the correct memory size
- You may get quite a few random errors on your server throughout the day
