NEC Express5800 140HE Wifi
Searching for a new adapter is simple due to the fact that all you need to know beforehand is what OS you are running on your server. The WiFi in your server, if so equipped, uses an adapter to communicate with your wireless router or modem. Most new Wifi adapters are plug-n-play, which just means that you only need to put the adapter into an available USB port and the OS will handle everything from there. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your server may have.
What are some hints that my wireless card needs replacing?
- The WiFi drops multiple times all the time
- Your WiFi in your NEC server cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The wireless adapter driver cannot be installed
