The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter in order to talk to your router and modem. Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the system will install the drivers automatically. You are better off buying a common WiFi USB adapter and install it, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have. Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is what OS you are running on your Panasonic CF-30.
