Sony PCG-9542 Ram
RAM is actually volatile memory as all the information held gets deleted when you shut down your system. The RAM speed is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, while the size is dictated by the system software. Your laptop RAM stores random bits of information that the computer uses for applications. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like picture or movies. But, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Sony. Some RAM is mandatory in order for your laptop to run at all. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, just know that more RAM is a lot better than less RAM!
Warnings the RAM is dying
- Nothing happens as you try to power on your laptop
- The software cannot report the right amount of RAM as it should
- You tend to have weird errors showing up on your laptop intermittently
- The laptop screen will not display anything when starting up
