Sony PCG-GRT390ZP Wifi
Buying a USB wireless adapter is quick and painless due to the fact that all you need to know beforehand is what OS you are running on your laptop. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses an adapter to send and receive signals to and from your wireless router or modem. It is much simpler to buy a new wireless USB adapter and install it, than it is to replace any type of OEM adapter you might have. Most new Wifi adapters are simply plug and play, in that you just plug it in the USB port and the OS will install the drivers on its own.
What symptoms are present when the onboard WiFi is crapping out?
- The wireless adapter on your laptop will not connect to your router anymore
- The laptop wireless driver shows it as not installed
- The WiFi drops for no reason over and over again
