Sony PCG-GRV680P Wifi
Finding a WiFi adapter is easy because the only thing you have to know is the operating system that is installed on your Sony laptop. The WiFi in your laptop, if so equipped, uses a piece of hardware in order to connect to your router. A lot of newer wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which means you simply plug it into a USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest. It is cheaper and easier to purchase a common WiFi USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your laptop may have.
Symptoms the WiFi adapter will need to be replaced
- The wireless adapter on your laptop cannot see the SSID coming from your router
- The wireless adapter driver gives errors when installing
- Your wireless internet connection drops for no reason every day
