Sony PCG-TR2 Power Adapter
If you decide to buy an non-Sony adapter, make sure to check the output of amps and voltage. The Sony PCG-TR2 AC adapter provides two functions, to charge the onboard battery and to provide a source of power for the unit. Because Sony has been known to use a single AC adapter that can be used on other units, be certain to thoroughly note the part number that is needed for this model. A universal AC adapter can be used if yours is unavailable or backordered. When choosing a new AC adapter, selecting the Sony OEM charger is always going to be the safest and easiest way to go.
What signals that my charger has to be replaced?
