Sony PCG-V505AX Ram
Random Access Memory is considered volatile memory as all the information held gets removed every time your turn the computer off. Random Access Memory, RAM, stores small bits of information that the computer uses for executing commands. A computer is unable to run without the necessary RAM properly installed. Because RAM is only temporary storage for the CPU, it does not have the ability to store files such as picture or movies. But, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Sony. The speed of the RAM is imposed within the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is governed by the operating system. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, just be sure to remember that you can never have too much RAM in your system.
Simple indications of an ineffective RAM memory
- Nothing happens when attempting to boot up your laptop
- The main screen does not display correctly when starting up
- The main operating system does not display the correct RAM amount
- You tend to have invalid access errors on your laptop intermittently
