Sony PCV-E308DS Ram
Your desktop RAM stores random bits of data that the CPU is currently using for programs. Some RAM is mandatory in order for your desktop to run correctly. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not hold files like programs or emails. But, it has more to do with the speed of the computer. RAM is a type of volatile memory as all the information held gets erased every time you turn your desktop off. The RAM speed is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, while the size is governed by the OS. If you need to buy more RAM and are unsure, remember that you can never have too much RAM.
What red flags are there that my RAM stick is in need of replacing?
- Nothing happens as you try to power on your system
- The software does not report the right memory amount
- The system produces access errors on your desktop as you use it
- The desktop screen does not light up when booting up
