Sony PCV-L640 Ram
Some RAM is mandatory in order for a computer to boot up. The RAM speed is predetermined through the specifications from the motherboard, while the actual storage size is dictated by the OS. RAM is a type of temporary storage as its storage is erased every time you turn your desktop off. RAM stores pieces of data that the processor uses for executing commands. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the processor, it does not have the ability to store files such as documents or pictures. But, it has more to do with the overall speed and quickness of your Sony. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Signs of a failing RAM memory
- The desktop screen will not display anything when you turn your system on
- The system produces invalid access errors on your desktop as you use it
- Silence when trying to initiate your desktop
- The OS does not show the correct memory amount
