Buying a wireless adapter is quite easy because all you need to know is what OS you are running on your Sony desktop. Most USB wireless adapters are simply plug and play, which means you simply plug it into a USB port and the operating system will take care of the rest. It is much simpler to buy a new wireless USB adapter and just plug it in, than to replace any built-in adapter your desktop may have.
